|January 7||Nicollette’s Hospital Drama -UPDATED-|
I don’t know how accurate this news is, because the original source is The National Enquirer and we all know how reliable it is. Sounds likely because I know she would be 24/7 riding a horse if she could and these things happen. In case this is true, I want to express my concern for her well being and wish her a fast recovery.
Nicollette Sheridan reportedly needed emergency medical treatment after a horse riding accident because she wasn’t wearing a protective riding hat.
Nicollette Sheridan was rushed to hospital after a horse riding accident.
The ‘Desperate Housewives’ actress reportedly needed emergency medical treatment for a head wound after she was “bucked off” her horse while not wearing a riding helmet.
According to National Enquirer writer Mike Walker: “Nicolette galloped bareback near her San Fernando Valley estate in pouring rain – and suddenly got bucked off by her not-so-gallant steed, slamming head-first into the top rail of a fence. Instantly knocked silly because she wasn’t wearing a riding helmet… and barely able to move as she lay in thick mud about 100 feet from her stable.”
However, the 46-year-old star was soon found by her boyfriend, businessman Steve Pate – who rushed her to their nearest medical centre.
The magazine added: “Steve was shocked to discover Nicollette bleeding from a nasty head wound. Picking her up, he ran to his car and rushed her to hospital. After tests for possible internal injuries, docs stapled up the gash and sent Nicolette home.”
EDIT: I have had the chance to read the original article, but I decided not to put it here. In my opinion, it’s quite disrespectful, and considering what we’re talking about, even more. I think you can not like someone and still show some respect. It pretty much says the same that what’s stated avobe but with some nasty comments along the article.
EDIT 2: I found another article and the only different thing the said was
Representatives for Sheridan have yet to respond to WENN’s request for a comment.
I guess they would have said something if this was true? I’ll keep you updated.
|January 4||Show Tracker Doesn’t Forgive Edie Was Killed|
Since it’s slow news on Nicollette’s world, except for those rumors about Harry Potter; I thought of sharing this part of an article on a blog of the Los Angeles Times.
We here at Show Tracker admit we haven’t followed “Desperate Housewives” since Nicollette Sheridan departed. Sorry, but we just couldn’t quite forgive killing off Edie, and we took it personally.
You can read the whole article here. But if you haven’t watched 6.11 If… yet, be warned you’ll be spoiled.
I also found an old interview where Neal McDonough talks about Edie’s death and Nic’s last day on set. I truly hope they’re keeping their friendship out of the Desperate Housewives world.
What was filming Edie’s end like?
You’ll see in the episode what I do to poor Nic. It is truly horrible, brutal, but it had to be done. It’s a simple scene, but in its execution it was very difficult. It took forever to do because it was just so hard and very emotional for Dave. You truly see both sides, you see his split personality in this one moment.
Dave is tragic, but Edie’s a fan favorite! Can he emerge from this and still elicit viewer sympathy?
Well, you realize how much he did truly love Edie. But he knows he has a job to do. In the episode after next, everyone on Wisteria Lane comes and tries to help Dave out because he’s such a mess after what happens. It’s not so black and white. Although, someone the other day did call me McCreepy. . . .
What was everyone’s reaction when news leaked that Edie would be killed off?
Everybody was bummed. But I think Nic, she’s been doing it for five years, and she’s been on television now for 30, and she was like, ‘I wouldn’t mind.’ She’s had a rough time. She had the break-up with Michael Bolton, and all these other things in the papers about David Spade, and she was like, you know, I’m tired of this crap. Not tired of ‘Housewives,’ but tired of a lot of the outside stuff. I think it was the right time for her and the right time for the show.
Tell me about Sheridan’s last day on set.
It was bizarre. It’s like saying goodbye to your sister. It was very somber. A huge cake came out and everyone was there and it was just very odd. But she’s happy about it and is very excited about the future, rest time and everything else. But it’ll be strange. Me and my wife and the kids, we’d see her all the time. She came by for birthdays and all these things. At her house, it was pool parties. She’s just a terrific gal. She’ll be sorely, sorely missed.

You can now go throught Nicollette’s scenes on .Com For Murder. Screencaptures have been added to the gallery. Misty, Nic’s character, sure suffers a lot in this movie.

Merry Christmas everybody! Did Santa bring you a lot of presents? Hope he did!
Here’s my treat: I updated the gallery with more 2008 events. My favourites are probably the 2 first one because of the shorter hair, I personally think she looks amazing with that hair-do.

As the snarky, unabashed, outspoken housewife, one may go so far to say they saw Edie Britt’s exit a long time coming. As she was dazed and unaware in the driving scene, she loses her life via an electric shock and falls to the ground. Nicollette Sheridan was quoted several months ago saying that she was done with the character and ready for new projects. “I’m on to the next project and done with this show.”

|December 22||Rumor Control: Nicollette NOT To Be On Harry Potter|
There seem to be a rumor around that Nicollette was the last minute replacement for Emma Thompson’s character on the Harry Potter saga: Sybill Trelawney.
Even if there’s no official confirmation on this, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows is already on post-production so we would have heard something of her days on the set. And I’ve been told the character was written out of the movie when Emma dropped the project to do the Nanny McPhee sequel.
So far, no Nicollette on the big screen and no Nicollette using her beautiful British accent.
